Yes, it was a couple of weeks late, but it’s all good. Here are Nicky’s latest stats: Weight: 20 pounds, 13 ounces Height: 31 inches He’s in the 90th percentile for height and he’s dropped to the 25th for weight. DEFINITELY Chuck’s baby, no doubt about it! Dr. Shin said that everything looks good, [...] With the help of Wegmans Nature’s Marketplace, Nicky now can eat pretty much everything that we do, as long as we obviously don’t give him dairy of any kind. Thanks to all kinds of soy products, Nicky can now eat just about anything, including pizza and grilled cheese sandwiches, both of which he loves. [...] Yesterday, I noticed that Nicky’s first molar popped through his gum, on his upper left! Finally, because I feel like he’s been teething forever with nothing to show for it. Well, the birthday festivities have come and gone. I can’t believe how quickly everything has happened. We are now parents of a toddler, not a baby (even though I’m pretty sure Nicky’s always going to be my baby). Chuck has updated the photo site a bit, and we also got Nicky’s one-year photos online. [...] Our baby is ONE year old today; I can’t believe it! Chuck took the day off from work so that we could get ready for Nicky’s birthday party on Sunday and, more importantly, celebrate! Nicky slept in a little bit (and so did we!) and enjoyed a nice, relaxing day of playing with toys [...] We were keeping the nice books on the top shelf of Nicky’s bookshelf for when he’s older and can be careful turning the pages, until yesterday, that is. He’s been reaching up there and grabbing books for at least a week now, so yesterday, I moved them to the top shelf of his closet [...] I can’t believe how much Nicky understands these days, and it’s increasing by the minute! Here are two really cute things he did recently: I told Chuck that I had to go upstairs to “tinkle”, and Nicky opened and closed his hands like he does when we sing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”. I said [...] Jen, Nicky and I had a dentist appointment today with Dr. Slapar. Everything went well. Here are some cell phone pictures of Nicky in the dentist chair. He was very good and didn’t cry at all. He also didn’t open his mouth much, but at least he’s getting used to the [...] I finally caught up with the past three weeks of photos; you can check them out here. I love some of the cute things Nicky’s picked up along the way… When I hold him, he wraps his right arm around my left one. Sometimes when he hugs me, he pats my arm. We make each other laugh so hard that we can’t remember why we’re laughing, just at each other! And [...] |
