Today, Nicky and I went for a walk with our next-door neighbors, Katie and Rylie. Rylie will be 12 weeks old on Saturday, and Nicky’s already bigger than she is! We took some photos of their first interaction after we came back to our house…how cute!

Yesterday, Chuck, Nicky and I went shopping again…the zipper on the Boppy slipcover that we bought on sale from Target a few weeks ago broke, so we went to return it. We decided to go to Henrietta because Babies “R” Us is right next door, and we needed a few things and had a [...] With Jen and Nicky spending a lot of time at home, we thought it would be good to take a family outing to get some much needed shopping done. So at a little after noon, we headed out to the Brockport Wal-Mart to make some purchases and see who was working. We stopped at [...] I really mean that…Nicky went for his 5-week pediatrician visit today and he weighed 12 pounds 14 ounces! We noticed he’s getting so big, but we had no idea! Dr. Shin says everything still looks great. Gotta run…hungry again! It’s crazy how quickly things are changing around here! Now, when Nicky’s awake, he likes to play in his Rainforest Gym or just on a blanket and I show him some toys or read to him. Also, he desperately wants to suck on a finger, so it’s cute to watch him work on his [...] Nicky slept in his crib for the first time last night! It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be…we had the baby monitor on my nightstand and we kept both of our doors open so that we could hear everything. Nicky went to sleep around 10:30pm and didn’t make any noise until [...] Nicky’s getting big so quickly! It’s crazy…clothes that fit him a couple of days ago are now too small! We measured him last night and he was 23 inches, up 3/4 of an inch from less than a week before! So, at three weeks old, we’ll be putting away many of the 0-3 month [...] Since Nicky’s umbilical stumpy fell off, we’re now allowed to give him a real bath and immerse him in water. He had his first bath last night and LOVED it! He was wide awake and alert, but really calm and seemed to enjoy it lots! I was afraid when rinsing him that he’d fuss, [...] Nicky lost his umbilical stumpy on Saturday! It was pretty funny…Chuck was changing a poopy diaper, and as he was cleaning him up, Nicky pooped, peed, spit up AND Chuck realized that the stumpy fell off. Glad I didn’t get that one! We went for another visit with Dr. Shin today, and Nicky is growing well! Here are his stats: Weight: 10 pounds, 5 ounces Length: 22 and 1/4 inches Head circumference: 37 centimeters His weight and length are in the 90th percentile, so he’s doing really well!
