Nicky was up again in the night, and something was really wrong this time. We called the pediatrician and she recommended that we go to the emergency room. She said that usually, you need a stethascope to hear the sounds that she could hear from Nicky over the phone, so it was important for [...] We took Nicky to the Strong National Museum of Play on Tuesday, a gem right in our own backyard. We had a blast! I haven’t uploaded the photos yet, but Nicky had lots of fun running around and exploring. It’s definitely something that we’ll be doing more often, since there’s so much stuff to [...] Here is a link to Nicky’s Christmas photos. I feel truly blessed every day and give thanks during the holiday season for my family and friends. I have everything I’ve ever wanted in my life. Merry Christmas, everyone! Nicky has starting pointing out letters in various places, other than his puzzle; for instance, on my RIT sweatshirt, he pointed out the R and the T yesterday! Today, Chuck was wearing and Izod pullover and Nicky pointed out the Z, O and D. He’s picking up so much so quickly! He’s also learning [...] At his last doctor’s appointment, Nicky had two vaccinations that he hasn’t had yet; the chickenpox one and the MMR. The pediatrician told me that a rash and/or a fever commonly occur about a week after. On Monday, exactly one week after the shots, nothing happened, so I thought we were in the clear. [...] A good thing for us, I think we’ve finally broken even on the cloth diapers. I really didn’t keep track as specifically as I’d like, but the general thought is that after using cloth diapers for about 3-4 months it would be well worth it financially. It’s been six months since we’ve started, so [...] We had Nicky’s 15-month pediatrician visit on Monday. He weighed 22 pounds, 3 ounces (but he was wearing a diaper, so probably only 22 pounds even) and measured 32.5 inches long. He always measures longer at the doctor’s office, though; I think their squishy mat that he lays on adds height. We got that book for $1 from my mom’s Scholastic forms through day care.
