Friday was my turn to visit the emergency room. Before anyone panics, let me explain. I was at work on Thursday when Paul told me that he wasn’t at work because his tree fell down in his back yard. It took out his power line, his shed, and his fence. The pictures show this [...] I decided to vaccuum in the couch cushions tonight. In the past, I’ve pulled out money, food, and plenty of Keanu’s hair, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this – I pulled out a measuring spoon. I love finding Nicky’s things in unlikely places; it just reminds me how [...] It’s been busy in our backyard lately! We’ve had many visitors: deer rabbits many kinds of birds (they LOVE our birch tree!) the neighbors’ dog assorted cats squirrels chipmunks coyotes (YIKES, only one at a time, but not good!) a snake under the maple tree tonight at dinnertime turkeys (not in a while, though) [...] Very weird around here…seems like everything in the house is breaking. First, my hand blender and the wagon. My hair dryer’s been on the fritz for a while and Chuck rewired the plug to try to fix it, but it finally died completely on Monday (the day I have to work). I noticed a [...] Finally, we’ve finished our spring cleaning around here! I waited because all of us have springtime allergies, so I didn’t want to open all of the windows and get pollen in the house. We think that it’s tree pollen that causes the problems, and it’s gone now, so I opened all of the windows [...] I just love these products and feel the need to blog about them: Cuisinart Smart Stick hand blender – I use it almost every day! Garmin nüvi – Chuck has one of these on loan from work – awesome! Back to Basics Apple and Potato peeler – my new favorite for making applesauce weekly [...] For the first time since Nicky was born, I went out with the girls to a movie. About seven of us met at Tinseltown for an 8:40 pm showing of Sex and the City. I’ve been a fan of the show since we started renting the DVDs a few years ago, and the movie [...] Chuck and I had our very first time with both of us away from Nicky this afternoon, and we all did just fine! He stayed with Gramma Chris for about two and a half hours while we had lunch at The Melting Pot. It was INCREDIBLE! Chuck had vanilla rum chicken (YUM!) with a [...] Chuck updated our blog site yesterday, as I’m sure you’ve noticed. Now that I can change the colors on the header, I imagine it’ll be fun to play with now and again! I’ve added a list to the right of foods that Nicky’s eaten, in case anyone’s interested.
