For the first time since Nicky was born, I went out with the girls to a movie. About seven of us met at Tinseltown for an 8:40 pm showing of Sex and the City. I’ve been a fan of the show since we started renting the DVDs a few years ago, and the movie was just like watching the next season of the show all in one sitting. I knew before I went that the movie was long (almost 2 and 1/2 hours), but I still drank a bottle of water in the theater. Man, that was dumb…I had to pee so badly but didn’t want to miss anything, so I almost burst! Still, it was worth it – I really loved the movie! It was just as raunchy as the show (NOT the TBS version!) and I loved seeing what happened to the girls as their stories progressed.
Of course, when I got home, I went straight upstairs to check on Nicky. That’s the best part about going out for a little while…I’ll always get to come home to see my baby.
