Nicky got his groove back

I think Daylight Savings Time threw Nicky off for a day; he didn’t go to sleep quite the same on Saturday night, then he woke up on Sunday morning at 4am and again at 6am before going back to sleep from about 8:30 to 11. Not that I minded it…I know we’re incredibly lucky to have such a great sleeper! I was just worried because that’s unusual for him and we were afraid he was getting sick or something was wrong. His chi must have been off for a day and that’s it; he got right back on track on Sunday night and had a great day when Mechelle came to visit us yesterday!

I found this quote on babycenter.com:

“An interesting note: Whether your baby is a night owl or a morning lark, a long sleeper or short sleeper, she’ll probably stay that way throughout childhood.” Yes!!! :)

Also, Nicky’s still growing like mad; he’s outgrown just about all of his 3-month clothes, and is comfortably in some of the 6-month clothes! I can’t believe how fast he’s growing!

Some other happy news: my dad had neck surgery yesterday to take care of some bone spurs and a pinched nerve in his neck (which my cousin Chris calls “recliner-itis”) and did very well! He said that even though he’s sore from the surgery, he is already starting to feel the benefits on his neck! Hopefully he’ll feel well enough to visit on later on in the week before he has to go back to work.

That’s our exciting week so far! I can hear Nicky making noises in his crib, so I’m off to check it out. I just posted some photos from the past couple of days here. Enjoy!
