We had a nice day yesterday…all the wrapping was done, so we could just relax and have a nice day together as a family. Nicky started it off by sleeping until almost 10am and it was nice! The night before, Paul, Robin, Ben, Paul’s parents, Kris and Ang came over for dinner and Wii, and I think it was a lot of excitement for him. No matter, he was rested for our relaxing day. We watched Elf for the first time…I’m NOT a Will Ferrell fan at all, so we’ve been avoiding it. A couple of people said we should see it, it’s cute, and I’m so glad we did! It was adorable!
On another note, Nicky had been giving us some problems going to sleep over the past week…he’d go through the whole bedtime routine as always, then start screaming really loudly like something was wrong just before I’d put him in the crib. I don’t know where that came from; he did it for about 3 days and it was terrible! Now, I use the Magic Blanket when I nurse him in the rocking chair, and it seems to do the trick. Magical powers are cool.
He’s waking up now, and I’m so excited for our first Christmas together! We’re off to Grandma Chris and Grandpa Mike’s house this afternoon, and then to Aunt Leslie’s house in the evening. Our cousin Chris is going to meet Nicky for the first time!
