Last night was a little bit rough getting Nicky to go to bed. He seemed to get cranky about half an hour or so more than usual, so we tried to put him to bed early. That was a mistake, because he kept waking up and making noises. FINALLY, I got him to go to sleep a little bit after midnight, and he didn’t get up until about 9:15 this morning. When I went into his room to get him, I looked in the crib, and he was laying with his feet at the head of the bed and rolling around his crib! Silly boy!
While I was in the shower this morning, he was playing with Chuck downstairs and rolling from his back to his tummy in the Rainforest Gym. He rolled over when he was about three weeks old and also a couple of times since, but he really seemed to be going at it today.
Chuck’s parents came for a visit this afternoon. Nicky was biting on Grandpa Mike’s fingers when he said he felt a tooth. I must admit, I thought he was just feeling things and I didn’t really believe it until I put my finger in there myself when I held him. Sure enough, Nicky has his very (sharp!) first tooth coming through on the bottom left, right in front! He didn’t let us a get a really good look at it, but I got to see, very briefly, a little tooth poking through! No wonder he was so fussy going to sleep last night!
Nicky must have decided that he needed to catch up to his cousin, Abbie, and grow a tooth himself!
