I had my glucose test yesterday. I had to drink orange pop-type stuff then have blood drawn an hour later. Not too bad. The results will probably take a couple of days.
Today, I went to the doctor. I’ve gained 3 and 1/2 pounds since my last visit, which is right on target; I’m supposed to gain about a pound per week until the end. My blood pressure was good and the baby’s heartbeat was good and loud! I guess there’s better reception now that my uterus is getting closer to the skin. The final say on the ultrasound is that we’re having a healthy baby, everything that was supposed to be there was and in good shape! My doctor seems pleased because I’m still feeling plenty of movement from the baby and the kicks are becoming stronger.
We’ve chosen a pediatrician and signed up for pregnancy and breastfeeding classes, so our assignments from the last visit have been completed. I just have to finish filling out the admissions papers for the hospital (!) and mail them in. And, I’ve been given the okay to help paint the nursery, so we’ll be getting the paint color this weekend and maybe painting during the week or next weekend. Exciting!
