Literally, yes…it’s almost 65 degrees out and perfectly sunny. But, more importantly, it’s beautiful in the house, too!
Nicky’s been having a rough time for the past few weeks with sleeping and eating; he’s been waking up every night to feed and he only wants to eat oatmeal when it’s time for him to eat. He’s teething and growing and developing, so I’m sure it’s all linked together, but we need to work things out before we make lots of bad habits that don’t go away.
Last night, we didn’t feed him in the night when he woke up, and he did just fine! He slept until his normal time, which was a great start! Then, for breakfast, I gave him oatmeal and a little bit of pears and gradually kept adding them until he ate the pears straight. For lunch, I did the same thing with butternut squash and barley cereal and he did great again! He’s on his second nap of the day right now, so I’m really confident that we’re getting back on to a healthy schedule.
Thank goodness; I was getting crabby with all of the night wakings. The gorgeous weather really enhances my positive outlook on things, too…it really is a beautiful day!
