Here’s some stuff I forgot to write about last night:
Grandma Nancy’s going to owe more money; I just noticed Nicky’s 13th tooth pushing through yesterday! It’s on the top left, right in the empty spot between his front teeth and his molar. I’m assuming the other three will be filling in soon and he’s going to have a full toothy grin before I know it!
When I say “I love you” to Nicky, he responds (sometimes), “too”. Melts my heart!
We’ve been trying to focus on colors lately. A couple of months ago, everything was green according to Nicky. Now, everything is orange (“o-rang”) and just a few days ago his second choice became blue if I asked him again. However, if I show him a few things and ask him to pick out a certain color, he’s remarkably accurate.
What impresses me the most is that he’s starting to pick out letters and shapes in places where other than his toys, books and puzzles. Just now, as I was putting the wash in the dryer, he showed me the Es on the lint trap. Earlier, he pointed out the heart across the street on the neighbor’s front door. He really gets it!
