Six days to go! Chuck, Nick and I all went to see Dr. Gabel this morning. There’s been no progress as far as labor goes, which is a good thing. Everything is set for Tuesday morning, and we even got a later time – 9:30am! We were originally scheduled for 7:30am, but we have to be at the hospital 2 hours before and I was concerned about being able to say good-bye to Nicky in the morning before we leave. Now, I can do that; we’ll just get him up a little bit early to let him know that it’s time for us to go to the hospital.
Dr. Gabel does not think this baby is as big as Nicky was. In fact, his guess is 8 pounds, 4 ounces when the baby is born. A peanut, really, compared to Nicky’s 9 pounds, 9 ounces!
Now, we wait. And finish getting things together…washing the swaddling blankets, some baby nightgowns and making some freezer meals for everyone while I’m in the hospital. It won’t be long!
