Ryan’s 4-month pediatrician visit

I forgot to write down Ryan’s stats from his most recent pediatrician visit on Thursday, so here it is:  he was 16 pounds, 12 ounces and 27 inches long.  A little bit smaller than Nicky was at that age; he was 17 pounds, 10 ounces and 28 inches long.  Either someone measured incorrectly, or our washing machine/dryer has shrunk all of Nicky’s old clothes, because Ryan seems to be longer than Nicky was.  He’s already in 9-month clothes and even has some 12-month clothes that fit nicely.  Such a big boy!

Ryan’s starting to become more fun these days, too.  He LOVES his big brother and smiles when he sees him.  He reaches and grabs and pulls things into his mouth.  He seems to have suddenly made a big leap in his neck strength; he picks his head way up when he’s having tummy time now.  He loves the jumperoo.  He’s been giving little laughs for over a month now, but usually just when he’s having his clothes taken off.  Today, though, when I was singing to him and bouncing him in the air, I got a couple of really beautiful laughs!

I can’t believe how time flies so quickly around here.  My boys are growing so quickly; I’m glad that I’m able to be home with them to enjoy it!
