As we start to wrap our Christmas presents, I thought I’d share a few of Nicky’s favorite things:

Last night, we took the sling (looks like a hammock) out of Nicky’s bathtub. The back of his tub is angled and padded to hold him up while he kicks his feet. He really liked being immersed in the water and found out quickly that he has much better movement of his arms and [...] Chuck adjusted the Jumperoo to the next height level last night. It’s just about perfect for him now; he’s on his tiptoes, which is where he should be! I can’t believe how quickly he’s growing! He’s just about outgrown all of his 6-month one-piece outfits and we might have until Christmas on his two-piece [...] Nicky did really well last night! No swaddle and a bigger diaper, just like we planned, and he slept from about 9:45pm until about 7:45 this morning! I woke up a few times in the night waiting for him! His mojo is back, thank goodness. We went to JC Penney today to get Christmas [...] Over the past two nights, we’ve learned that Nicky is done being swaddled at night. Thank goodness, because he’s even outgrowing the larger blanket we bought for him and we weren’t sure what to do next! He falls asleep fine on his own, like he usually does, but he wakes up and wants his [...] So, Nicky went through EIGHT outfits today! He kept spitting up all over the place. We did some Internet research and found that I need to cut back on my dairy products and caffeine intake. Thank goodness I had the good ice cream before figuring this out! Hopefully this will reduce the amount of [...] Breastfeeding is cool…I eat brussels sprouts and Nicky poops green. Nicky was barely eating yesterday and he spit up just about everything he did eat. There wasn’t anything else going on; he wasn’t fussy or anything else, but I was freaking out because sometimes I think he’s an eating machine. Anywho, he’s much better today. He’s been eating very well and barely spitting up, [...] Nicky and I baked cookies this morning! (Okay, he sat in his high chair and watched me, but close enough.) He laughed again for me when I changed his diaper afterwards…it’s just music to my ears when he does it! We caught a little bit of laughing on video on Saturday…just gotta figure out [...] Yesterday, Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Don came to meet their first great-grandchild! Nicky visited for a little bit, then played in the Rainforest Gym, then fell asleep! |
