Nicky laughed this morning! It was the cutest thing I’ve ever heard! I was changing his diaper and he was looking at the polar bear from Uncle Bob and Aunt Patty…he must have done something pretty funny, ’cause he laughed! I think Daylight Savings Time threw Nicky off for a day; he didn’t go to sleep quite the same on Saturday night, then he woke up on Sunday morning at 4am and again at 6am before going back to sleep from about 8:30 to 11. Not that I minded it…I know we’re incredibly lucky [...] Nicky and I met Stacy and Riley at Panera Bread (Aunt Marcie’s favorite!) for lunch today. Riley was born on September 10th, just 12 days after Nicky. You’d never know it…she’s still smaller than Nicky was when he was born; she’s such a peanut! I got to hold her for a bit and it [...] Nicky had a great first Halloween! He didn’t mind his costume, except for the hat. He liked watching the kids come to the door all dressed up and he was pretty awake until we went to visit our neighbors, when dozed and snored in my arms. He’s a good [...] I can’t believe Nicky is two months old today! To celebrate, Nicky and I met Chuck for lunch at Bruegger’s. They were so happy to see each other! We also stopped at Target and Babies “R” Us to pick up a couple of things. He was awake and alert for almost the whole time, [...] We made it! Nicky is growing so much: Weight: 14 pounds, 14 ounces Height: 24 and 1/2 inches Head circumference: 39 inches Dr. Shin said that everything looks great! He’s doing really well, which we already know! Then, he had four shots, and he was so good! He cried while he was getting them, [...] My mom came to visit today. We went to the mall to use a couple of gift cards and we got some really cute baby clothes! Nicky slept pretty much the whole time! After Grandma went home, Nicky found his thumb again. He has found it in the past, but today, he’s obsessed with [...] Nicky got his first bottle last night! I had pumped two ounces into a bottle for him earlier so that Chuck could try an evening feeding. He’s my baby…when he’s hungry, he wants to eat! He took to the bottle right away and Chuck loved it! He was still hungry, so I finished feeding [...] Yesterday was my first experience bringing Nicky out into the world by myself. I’m pleased to report that we made it! We had my 6-week follow-up appointment with my OB at 9:20am. He was wide awake at the office and loved all the oohing and aahing over him. He fell asleep during my exam, [...] |
