Nothing really new to report around here (except that Nicky is wonderful!) but I thought I’d make a quick post for our entourage. Nicky’s been sleeping all night for at least the past week, so when he woke up at 4:45 this morning with a wet diaper, it didn’t bother us at all! [...] Today was the first time it’s rained a fair amount in a long time. In addition, it the first time Nicky “let go” on the changing table just after taking his diaper off. As the previous post said, he’s peed with his diaper off. This, however, was new…and it went everywhere. Needless to say, [...] Chuck seems to have issues keeping his pants clean when he’s changing Nicky…his third pair in about 4 days is in the wash right now. A couple of days ago, I was coming down the stairs and heard him say, “There it is!” and looked around the corner to find a beautiful arc of [...] I finally got Nicky calmed down after I fed him, and now he’s relaxing in the BabyBjörn (love it!) with me while I upload some photos from the last week. I just put up the last installment of growing belly photos, and now the rest are uploading here. I also wanted to put up [...] And it might be a few more…just as I started to post, Nicky woke up. He’s been feeding pretty much every 1-2 hours during the day but sleeping through the night. He’s the best newborn ever! I’m importing the photos from the last week into iPhoto right now, so hopefully, we’ll have them posted [...] Nicky had his first visit with the pediatrician today! We went to see Dr. Shin at 11:30 this morning and we miraculously made it to the appointment on time, considering we had to add in a last-minute feeding. He weighed in at 9 pounds, 6 ounces, almost back up to his birth weight! Dr. [...] Last night, we had a big adventure. We couldn’t decide how late to keep Nicky up, if we should try to keep him up…well, he decided for us. From about 7:30 pm until about 1:30 am, he pretty much did not stop eating! I didn’t think it was possible and I was proven wrong. [...] Check out Nicholas’ photo in the web nursery! Chuck, Nicholas and I have been home for just over a day now, and I am loving it! I’m glad for the amount of time we spent at the hospital; it was just long enough to feel like we got everything we needed out of our stay and plenty of help with nursing and [...] Aunt Jessica won the baby game! |
