Nicky had his first visit with the pediatrician today! We went to see Dr. Shin at 11:30 this morning and we miraculously made it to the appointment on time, considering we had to add in a last-minute feeding. He weighed in at 9 pounds, 6 ounces, almost back up to his birth weight! Dr. Shin told us that most newborns are back up to their birth weight after two weeks, so we’re way ahead of the game.
She checked him over and found a couple of birthmarks, listened to his heart, then told us that he’s doing really great and that she has no concerns with him at this time. However, she said she hopes I’m hanging in there with all of the feedings, since he’s gaining so much weight. We seem to be doing all the right stuff; she said just keep it up and we should get on a feeding schedule soon.
He’s napping now, so I’m taking a minute to post here and let everyone know that more photos have been put up. I’m sure we’ll be putting up more of them every couple of days…he does lots of cute stuff, so we’ve got plenty of great pictures!
