Chuck made a comment last week about being depressed because Nicky can’t have real macaroni and cheese like normal kids, so I became determined to find something that we could all enjoy together instead. Nicky is getting smarter by the minute. He can count to twenty-four, but he skips fourteen through sixteen. He knows all of his letters and numbers, lots of shapes and colors, and he’s pretty much getting left from right. [...] I just realized this week that Nicky has started to put words together quite often to make phrases. Mostly, they’re things like, “more (something), please”, “I will” or “eat it”, but sometimes he’ll talk about something that’s his or mine. As usual, I’m amazed by his development. So, I just put a WHOLE BUNCH of them up, from the beginning of December! Now that we’ve updated, though, I should be able to keep up with things a little bit more nicely.
