I forgot to follow up and mention that Chuck passed his exam and is now a Red Hat Certified Engineer! He gets to add the letters RHCE at the end of his name and has made himself quite a bit more marketable.

Well, Nicky’s not potty-trained yet. That’s okay with me…he does acknowledge the potty and sometimes he’ll even sit down for a second. He’s also been making a habit of telling me “potty” when he’s about to go, so that’s a step in the right direction. I honestly never expected anything like this so soon. [...] Nicky went potty for the first time today! I couldn’t believe it – I think I just happened to catch him at the right time. He didn’t sit for very long at all before he pooped and peed! Chuck wasn’t home at the time, and I was so excited that I took a picture [...] Nicky learned the word “please” last week. It’s really cute when he says it – it comes out like “peese”, and he already understands the meaning. He says it when he wants something pretty regularly, which I love! I’m so glad he’s developing nice manners! Nicky and I survived our week while Chuck was in Columbus! We were busy, but not too much so. Monday, I had to work 5-9, so Nicky went next door with Katie, Chris and Rylie. He did really well, especially considering that it was the first time he’d ever been away from either Chuck [...] This week, I’ll be in Columbus, Ohio in hopes of becoming a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE). This certification is highly regarded and is only achieved by passing a five-and-a-half-hour hands-on exam. Jen and Nicky will be dropping me off at the airport to pick up the rental car around noon tomorrow. From there [...] Nicky hasn’t taken a bottle, even at bedtime, in over two weeks now, so it’s time to put them away! I nurse him every night except for Mondays (when I work) and then Chuck gives him a sippy cup with a little bit of soymilk in it. I certainly can make use for the [...] Here are some very interesting results to a poll on BabyCenter.com. Nicky has somewhere around 50 words right now, WOW! He’s definitely my kid… I made an executive decision on Friday; Nicky’s going to start having just one naptime. He’s never been a great napper to begin with; sometimes, I could get two naps from him, but it’s been pretty irregular lately. The past week, he’s been skipping his afternoon nap, so I thought we should just try [...] |
