Our baby is 2 years old today! When I asked what he wanted for lunch, he said “pancakes”, so Chuck and I made these very easy pancakes for lunch. Yum! We’ve had a very nice day so far; everyone slept in a little bit. After breakfast, Nicky opened his birthday presents from us, then [...]
Nicky and I went to see Dr. Gabel again this morning. Nothing thrilling; we just had the usual check-up. Everything still looks good; I’m huge. He said that I shouldn’t be surprised to start feeling lots of pressure now, which is EXACTLY what I’m feeling, because of the stress on all of my already [...]
Friday was my most recent visit to the OB. I saw Dr. Kerpelman again and had a pretty uneventful visit. Everything looks good and I’m already starting my weekly visits! Four more visits and we’ll have a new baby, wow!
Here is a link to some photos from the past couple of weeks. We’ve been having such a fun summer!
I made this fruit cobbler for dessert tonight. It wasn’t too much different from the last one, except that I used peaches. I’d make it again for sure, but I might use a smaller pan next time, maybe a 9-inch square instead of a 9X13 so that the cakey part is a bit thicker. [...]
I guess it’s fitting that I made this recipe to take to our old neighbor’s house for dinner on Sunday. It was good and even Nicky loved it! I’ll definitely make it again.
Last week, Paul, Robin, Ben and Nora invited Nicky and I to Seabreeze with them. We had an absolute blast! We went to the water park, complete with water slides for small children before lunch. They have a nice spray park, too, but we didn’t get to it because Nicky was eating a HUGE [...]
Katie recommended this baked oatmeal to me – YUM!!! Obviously, I used soy instead of milk-based products, but it was great! AND, Nicky liked it, so it will definitely be made at our house again!
I made this fruit cobbler with the blueberries I picked the other day (all of the berries that Nicky picked ended up in his belly and never made it to the basket!). It was super easy and very, very good. I’ll make it again, and you can use pretty much any kind of [...]
I made this recipe for Fruity Pork Chops today. It was very good and I’d make it again; the pork chops just fell apart when we ate them; we didn’t even need knives. Nicky wasn’t madly in love with it, but he did take two bites and didn’t spit them out, so I guess [...]
