Tooth that is. Nicky’s got a top front tooth coming in now!
Some more updates from this past week:
I tried to feed Nicky some rice cereal on Tuesday. He was interested for the first bite, more in holding the spoon than anything. I got it on video and plan to post it soon, but pretty much it was nothing exciting.
Nicky sits up on his own now for short periods of time. He’s also gotten much better at standing up when holding on to the Rainforest Gym.
I thought he was past the spitting-up phase, but it turned out that only lasted about a day and a half. I can see the light, though…
The thumb obsession has definitely ended. Nicky still sucks his thumb, but only when he is tired, and only for a really short time. Now, his pointer finger has almost become interchangeable with his thumb as he has starting sucking that almost as often. Chuck and I both sucked our pointer fingers when we were kids. And history repeats itself…
Nicky has been babbling “ma ma” and “da da” for at least a month now. Of course, he doesn’t know what he is saying yet, but we still repeat it back to him and point to ourselves when we say it. Last night, he belted out “da da” clear as day while looking at Chuck. Again, he still doesn’t know what he’s saying, but boy, was it precious!
