Just got back from my doctor’s office visit that I didn’t expect to make because I thought I’d have a baby by now. I saw Dr. Gabel, who’s not my regular doctor, but he was really good. Here’s the scoop:
NOTHING’S HAPPENING!
My cervix has made no progress in the past two weeks. Baby is still in the correct position, and the heartbeat is good. So, for right now, we wait. I’ve made another appointment to see Dr. Gabel on Wednesday at 4:15pm. That way, if I need to do some further testing, like a non-stress test, we’ll still have Thursday and Friday for that. He said that if the cervix is ready when I’m a week overdue, they might induce labor at that time, but if it’s not ready yet, there’s a bigger chance of a c-section, which I don’t want, so they’ll do the addtional testing.
The bottom line is that nothing’s happening, but Baby’s doing fine for right now, so we hang out. I’m getting good at that.
