Margaret and I took Parker and Nicky to the zoo on Friday. We had a great time! When we saw the baboons, the zookeeper told us that it was naptime and that the mommies and babies were snuggling together. Now, when I tell Nicky we should pretend it’s naptime in the baboon cage, he says “nuggle, nuggle” and gives me a very cute hug and snuggle. He said that his favorite animals were the “ephements” (elephants – our new favorite word!).
Yesterday, he finally took his first big-boy bath in our tub at home. We haven’t had a stopper for the tub, and the bathtub we were using for him was huge, so he’s had plenty of room. After visiting Grandma Chris and Grandpa Mike and taking a bath in their tub, though, he’s been asking for a big-boy bath every day, so Chuck finally got a stopper for the tub. He loved it! I snapped a few photos that I’ll post soon.
This morning, Nicky asked for “oitmeal” (oatmeal) for breakfast. We haven’t had that in at least two months, so I was surprised. I was more surprised, but shouldn’t have been, when he looked at it and said he didn’t like it, but then proceeded to eat all of it and ask for more.
It’s never-ending around here…
